Ginseng is known as the “herbal king” in nature due to its high therapeutic values. It has been used in tea, soups and tonic in Asia for thousands of years. There are two major kinds of Ginseng that are commonly traded – Panax ginseng (Chinese or Korean ginseng) and Panax quinquefolium (American ginseng). In its natural state, ginseng has an earthy, bittersweet taste. Kiwiseng wild simulated Ginseng is grown in nutrient rich soils surrounding volcanic areas in New Zealand natural forests.
There is some clinical evidence to suggest that when ginseng is consumed regularly, several types of cancerous cells are inhibited.
